Before You Begin with the CellSpace/Lite

The CellSpace/Lite product is provided to introduce the

CellSpace

concept to interested parties.

The CellSpace/Lite product is currently provided free of charge.
Please feel free to distribute CellSpace/Lite to those that it may interest.
Please note that unlike CellSpace/Lite, CellSpace/Team and CellSpace/Enterprise are a licensed, commercial products that cannot be distributed.

The CellSpace/Lite a complete implemented of a

CellSpace

Server

with the following exceptions:

The CellSpace/Lite does not use a persistent
database
to house its data.
Unlike CellSpace/Team and CellSpace/Enterprise, CellSpace/Lite relies on a light-weight in-memory representation of a
CellSpace
Server
model.
This makes the CellSpace/Lite is easy to install.
The CellSpace/Lite model must be downloaded to avoid losing changes before CellSpace/Lite is shut down or the computer is turned off. See

In addition the size of the CellSpace/Lite model is limited by available memory and processing power.
The CellSpace/Team and CellSpace/Enterprise products store and retrieve their representations of a
CellSpace
Server
model from a
database
.
The CellSpace/Team and CellSpace/Enterprise products do not lose changes when they is shut down or the computer is turned off.
The CellSpace/Team and CellSpace/Enterprise products rely on the capacity of the host
database
and are not limited by available memory in that same way as CellSpace/Lite.
Please note unlike the
commercial CellSpace/Enterprise
each instance of a CellSpace/Lite has its own
security realm
and will required additional
authentication
when connecting to an existing
CellSpace
.

During the online installation process the

credentials.
You will need these credentials to access CellSpace/Manual (draft).

Once installed, additional

accounts
can be created by an
administrator

This is a recommended practice to ensure access to the
CellSpace
Server
if one set of
administrator
credentials are lost or forgotten.
