Object
Names
Most of the
objects
in a
CellSpace
Server
are identified by a name.
  • (A notable exception are
    Cells
    which have a coordinate rather than a name.)
  • The
    Name
    is a
    property
    of an
    object
    .
  • Object
    names help organize the
    CellSpace
    into meaningful parts.
  • There are no restrictions on how an
    object
    is named.
  • Short, descriptive names are recommended.
  • Object
    names are assigned when an
    object
    is added or created.
  • The name can be changed using the title icon or the mode_edit when an
    object
    is selected or
    Opened
    .
  • A change to an
    object
    name does not affect the references to that
    object
    and these references remain valid after an
    object
    name is changed.
