Items
Cubes
and
Sheets
have a number of
Dimensions
that form the axes of the
object
.
Each one of these
Dimensions
has a number of
Items
which categorize the
Dimension
.
The
Dimensions
of a
Sheet
are the rows, columns and
Pages
and cannot pivot.
At the intersection of all the
Items
for all the
Dimensions
are
Cells
.
Items
can be named and have
Formulas
called
General Formulas
.
Named
Items
are referenced in the
General Formulas
to improve legibility and provide documentation of the model.
For example, a
Cube
or
Sheet
may contain
Items
called 'Units', 'Price' and 'Sales'. The 'Sales'
Item
might have a
General Formula
as follows:
= Units * Price
Items
are reordered with Drag-N-Drop and resized with the blue tab that appears at their boundaries.
Items
are Drag-N-Drop'ed to pivot

are easier to maintain and view than repeated fill operations.
